Where Are They Now? 'Sopranos' Star Now Popular Chef
Joseph R. Gannascoli, famous for his starring role as Vito Spatafore on The Sopranos, is now receiving culinary praise throughout New York.
“I was a chef before an actor,” he said about his frequent contributions at prominent New York restaurants. Prior to working on The Sopranos, Gannascoli was a notable chef in New York, Los Angeles, and New Orleans, on behalf of the famed Commander’s Palace.
Gannascoli is now in demand at a number of establishments throughout the New York City metropolitan area including Tazzina, Matteo’s Roslyn and Huntington locations and Vincent’s Clam Bar.
Recently, Gannascoli prepared spaghetti carbonara at Matteo’s, much to the pleasure of frequent patrons. One such guest was Rocky star, Burt Young, who praised Gannascoli’s dish.
