Skip Marley and H.E.R. - "Slow Down (Remix)" ft. Wale

Skip Marley, the Island Records reggae prodigy whose Top 10 iTunes single collabo with two-time 2019 Grammy Award-winning artist H.E.R., "Slow Down" has become the quickest-streaming song in Marley Family history with over 30 million global streams to date, keeps the momentum soaring with the new “Slow Down (Remix)” with H.E.R. featuring Wale, available now via Tuff Gong/Island Records.  

On joining the remix, Wale states, “I had to jump on this amazing record with my brother Skip Marley and the talented queen H.E.R. Let’s go!”

The success of "Slow Down" underpins Island’s continuing 75th anniversary celebration of the birth and life of music legend Bob Marley, foundational icon in the reggae, roots rock, soul, and hip-hop saga, and Skip’s beloved grandfather. "Slow Down" hit #15 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart last week, making Skip the first Jamaican inside the Top 20 on the chart in nearly a decade and a half (since Sean Paul and Keyshia Cole in 2006, “When You Gonna Give it Up to Me”).  The song is also charting at multiple radio formats including heading to Top 5 at Urban AC, Top 15 at Rhythm and Top 30 at Urban Mainstream. 
 

"Slow Down" is the latest salvo from Skip, whose string of releases since last year includes “That’s Not True,” a collabo featuring Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley (his uncle), “Enemy,” and “Can’t Take it From Me” featuring Major Lazer.
