Omar Wilson possesses a baritone that is both rugged and velvety. Its kind of the sweet spot between masculine and senstive that the balladeers from the 1970s and 80s - men like Teddy Pendergrass - used to occupy.
And when Wilson and his songwriting and production crew consisting of Louis Humphrey, Jamson Joyner and Edwin Ramon began to brainstorm on a song for a Valentine's Day night of no social distancing, they decided to go big and look to capture the spirit of the legendary Teddy P himself. And they hit the mark with badroom anthem "Sounds That You Make."
Says Wilson, "When we started working on this song, the first thing we thought of was, how would Teddy P. approach this in a real and honest way. So as the writing continued, we decided that the sounds that a woman makes when your making love is what a man wants and needs to hear from his woman."
And from the opening piano riff to Wilson's muscular baritone that he uses to paint sensual portrait of night a passion, "Sounds That You Make" is a lush, romantic work that sets it all up for you. But be careful because "Sounds That You Make" also falls nicely into another sub-genre of romantic tunes - baby makin' muisic.
