Nicki Minaj Drops Two Newbies, "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz"
According to Twitter, it's #NickiDay.
After being ghost for months on end then teasing fans last weekend, Nicki Minaj has dropped her two highly-anticipated singles, "Chun Li" and "Barbie Tingz."
On "Chun Li," Nicki takes on yet another alter ego named Chun Li, a female warrior who seeks revenge after her father's murder from the old school video game Street Fighter. The J. Reid-produced track is danceable as Nicki expresses her prowess in the game as a rap warrior. Chevy Musik-produced "Barbie Tingz" is more base heavy with throwback drum patterns.

These two releases come almost a week after the debut release of Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy debut album, making some people believe Minaj waiting in the wings and dropped her music as a sign of competition. And while the industry may try to pit the rappers against each other, it's good to have some variety in the femcee game.
