Miriam Nyarko released EP The Journey
Miriam Nyarko’s journey thus far is a testament to her talent, her strong family ties, and her deep and enduring faith in God. Those who heard, “Built on You” her debut single from her self-title EP “The Journey” now know about her ability to pull in Afropop, R&B and hip-hop to pen a love letter to God that makes feet tap and hands raise in praise and adoration to God.
Cinephiles who scored a ticket to this past summer’s Tribeca Film Festival to see Nyarko in her starring role in “Blackwool” or who subsequently saw the movie on a streaming service or in a multiplex received further confirmation of her acting shops.
Now that “The Journey” is out fans can hear a work that touches on every aspect of Nyarko’s faith journey in four short songs. That includes the first track titled “Drowning.” This is a tune will connect with anyone who believes that they are being pulled under by a rip tide of troubles. In those moments Nyarko sings of how she looks to God to be the ultimate lifeguard.
“The Journey” is a record that is both intensely personal and universal. “Mine (Oh Father) is a conversation Nyarko has with God while dealing with the grief of losing her natural father. God reminds her that she has a heavenly father who is always there and is closer than any brother. Check out the EP “The Journey” by Miriam Nyarko here.
