"Let Me" lets us hear new music from Gaidaa

After turning some heads on her debut EP released on 2020 entitled Overture, R&B singer Gaidaa aims to generate even more of a buzz with her newest single, "Let Me."

Born of both Sudan and Dutch descent, Gaidaa's style is rooted in R&B and Soul but with "Let Me" she also explores jazz and more worldly tones. Piano drives the lush melody, along with percussion that keeps the pace. It's a song that deals with a desire to gain independence and freedom. The warm melodic chorus echoes that wish as she sings "let me walk along, let me wonder off, let me write a song, let me.....let be give in, let me give up, let me til dawn."  In an era where strong hooks and melodies are becoming more rare, Gaidaa made it a priority on her previous EP and it is refreshing to see her continue this trend on this song.

Her new EP is set to be released later this year, but in the  meantime, let "Let Me" take you on a 3 minute musical escape.
