K.O from the Pilla is an up-and-coming music artist with roots in both Queens, New York, and Detroit, Michigan. Born in Queens, K.O moved to Detroit at the young age of four, eventually settling in Highland Park, a neighborhood he affectionately calls "the Pilla" or "HP." This is where he grew up, and it’s the place that has shaped both his life and his music. Growing up, K.O was heavily influenced by artists like Fabolous, Plies, Mase, Loon, and 50 Cent. He admired how these artists could do it all—deliver hard-hitting rap, clever punchlines, and, most importantly, create songs that resonated with women. This blend of skills is something K.O prides himself on. While he has the ability to create clever bars, he’s equally passionate about making music that connects with the ladies.

K.O’s most recent project, Pilla the Mixtape, is a tribute to his city, Highland Park. The cover features photos of friends and loved ones from the neighborhood who have passed away or are currently incarcerated, including his two brothers and a nephew. This project was K.O’s way of sharing their stories with the world, ensuring their faces and memories are never forgotten. One standout track from this mixtape is "That’s It," which has been gaining attention. The creative process behind "That’s It" (featuring Tone Mitch) was typical of how K.O works. He found a beat that felt perfect for having fun, partying, and riding around town. K.O knew the track had potential to be a hit, so he reached out to Tone Mitch, telling him they had to go all out on this one. The two artists hit the studio, and the result is a song that captures the energy and vibe of a true Highland Park party anthem.

K.O from the Pilla is a rapper with a deep connection to his roots, and his music reflects that love for his community. As he continues to make waves in the music scene, he remains dedicated to representing Highland Park and sharing its stories with the world.
