Ingram Street Releases new song 'Soulfully Sublime'
Ingram Street, the talented R&B and soul duo consisting of brothers Howard Ingram (stage name Minquel) and Daniel Ingram (stage name Woody), has been captivating audiences with their smooth blend of classic and contemporary sounds. Rooted in the rich traditions of R&B, soul, and neo-soul, Ingram Street’s music draws on a broad range of influences, from early inspirations like The Jacksons, New Edition, Switch, and Debarge to icons of the 90s like Blackstreet, Mary J. Blige, The Fugees, and Boyz II Men. Their style also incorporates elements of hip-hop, influenced by artists such as October London, Robert Glasper, Tuxedo, and Eric Roberson.
Their latest project, Streetlights - The Revisit, is a refreshed version of their previous album Streetlights, now featuring a vinyl release—a first for Ingram Street. This re-release includes two new songs, including their latest single, "Soulfully Sublime." The creation of "Soulfully Sublime" was a collaborative and inspired effort. Minquel crafted the song’s verse and the first rap verse, and Woody later suggested adding a second rap verse. With Woody’s added vocals, the song came together with synergy.
Ingram Street hopes to evoke feelings of nostalgia, soulfulness, and an appreciation for classic R&B and hip-hop through their music. With Streetlights - The Revisit, the duo continues to build their legacy, offering fans both a fresh perspective and a nod to timeless sounds that honor the genre's roots.
