This dynamic musical duo hails from the state of South Carolina – Shelton D. Richardson & Meme Green. Both are proud natives of Orangeburg, they bring a unique flavor to the music scene with the main genre being Southern Soul and Blues, sprinkled with a touch of R&B. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical icons like Fred Hammond, 2pac, Babyface, Stevie Wonder, John P. Kee, and James Brown, Shelton D. Richardson & Meme Green also credit life itself as a crucial influence. Their music tells a story – a story they believe needs to be heard and felt by audiences.

Their latest single, "Love Can," produced by Ray Citi, hit the airwaves this month. Alongside this, their previous singles, "Good Time" and "Get'n It In," continue to resonate in markets across the southeast, winning hearts with their soulful melodies. When asked about their creative process, the duo emphasizes their hands-on approach. They write all their songs, collaborating closely with in-house super producer Rayvasquez Shuler. The goal is to create a harmonious sound, a unique and unrepeatable musical experience. Their creative journey involves constructing both the music and lyrics together, resulting in feel-good tunes that are fresh and uplifting.

The road to creating their music wasn't without its challenges. Initially, coordinating studio time for both artists proved tricky. However, once the trio synced up, the creative process flowed seamlessly, paving the way for the uplifting and soulful tracks they're known for. "Love Can" carries a powerful message – love can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. The song explores the duality of love, bringing out the best or worst in a person. Shelton D. Richardson & Meme Green believe in embracing love without fear, acknowledging that being open to love or hate is part of life's journey.

Recently, the duo rocked the stage at 404 Sports Bar in Morrow, Georgia, in a show hosted by the Legendary DJ Jelly. The electrifying energy they bring to their performances matched perfectly with the great vibe and atmosphere of the venue. With more shows lined up, Shelton D. Richardson & Meme Green hope to reach new markets and share their music with audiences around the country soon. The journey continues, and with each performance, they spread the message that love, in all its forms, is an essential part of the human experience.
