With over 4000 concerts in over 80 different countries and over 300 million in sales, Elton John is a titan of the music industry. Premiering Saturday, a new documentary titled Elton John: The Nation’s Favorite Song will reflect on John’s contributions to music and society.

The documentary will feature both home videos and professional footage throughout John’s career. Viewers will also be treated to personal stories regarding his relationship with Bernie Taupin as well as humorous tales from his tours.

In addition to personal commentary from John, other artists including Rod Stewart, Sting, Billy Joel, Annie Lennox, and Lionel Richie will share their experiences of working with John and how he has shaped the modern music world.

In one particular scene, Ed Sheeran refers to Can You Feel the Love Tonight as a “gem” and says, “That’s the one thing I’m eternally jealous of Elton. Despite all the other accolades and all the other things, he wrote The Lion King.”

Elton John: The Nation’s Favorite Song premiers Saturday at 8 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. PT on REELZ.
