Duke Deuce continues to make his name in the family business with Back 2 Back
Duke Deuce is the ultimate industry insider. This young brother grew up in studios and was raised knowing how to work a control board and make beats. The teacher was his father, Duke Nitty, who was a key producer of the Memphis school of hip-hop music in the 1990s and early 2000s.
That training prepared Duke Deuce for the moment when he could step into the spotlight and take the family's musical legacy to the next level. That time is now. Duke Deuce had been signed to the Atlanta based indie label Quality Control has now signed a deal with one of the majors Motown Records/Capitol Music Group.
His new single, "Back 2 Back" and accompanying video showcase what drew Motown Records/Capitol Music Group to Duke Deuce, whose album "Duke Nukem" has been making big noise. Duke Deuce has a strong musicial vision that fuses the crunk with the elements of contemporary hip-hop and R&B music. He possesses a tight lyrical flow and easily shift into freestyle. The beats from "Back 2 Bounce" will have listeners bouncing in the clubs when they open back up and will rattle windows when blasted from the car. "Back 2 Back" is Duke Deuce's statement that Crunk is not dead. It's alive and kickin'.
