Carmen Jackson, a jazz vocalist from Detroit, Michigan, brings smooth vocals and emotional storytelling. Drawing inspiration from legends such as Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dionne Warwick. Her latest single, “Where Do We Go from Here”, is a heartfelt song of personal struggle and emotional growth. The song was created in a spontaneous moment while Carmen was sitting in her living room with her pianist. As they casually played around with melodies, one in particular began to take shape—something about it felt familiar, resonant. Carmen began to hum, and the melody stuck. Her pianist followed her lead, experimenting on the keys until a sound emerged that sparked a moment of creative clarity.
