Snack Pack Pick of the Week #2
Peace up everyone!
There is so much good music out that today, I decided to do a review of the new EP project from Cambridge, Mass hip hop duo The Hairline Brothers.
This duo of North$ide Dro and The Supervisor have been great friends since their days in elementary school. Numerous group and solo projects led them to create this pairing and subsequent album release. Boom bap is for sure in the building.
7-song EP has some great cuts on it, all produced by North$ide. The first single is called "What They're For" and, they just released the second single titled "Step Back". The new single features rapper King Author, and the track kicks off with a nice sonic mix of strings and keys played over a sweet bass line. Using a very memorable guitar sample from Gary Wright's "Love Is Alive", the track lifts its energy once the drums kick in and King Author kicks off the flows. All three emcees take their turns on the track, dropping dope lyrics over the infectious track.
The fellas have more to give in 2025 so keep your eyes open and ears ready for more dopeness from this duo.
